The B3x10K Challenge... What is it, you ask? Let me tell you... The B3x10K Challenge is going to be a chance for us to help make a difference in the world...

From March 1st, 2010 until December 31st, 2010 I am going to donate a portion of all my online album and individual download sales from this web site to charity. For each individual download ($0.99 USD) I am going to donate 10% each ($0.10) to the Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, and the Humane Society. If you purchase the entire album ($9.99 USD for 12 tracks), then I'll donate $1 each to those three charities.

But wait, there's more! If you purchase the entire album, then I'm going to give you a FREE copy of another album that I'll be releasing later this year. In other words, if you purchase the entire album, you're actually going to get two albums for the price of one AND 30% of your purchase is going to support three worthy charities. And speaking of those charities. I chose those three for a specific reason as they each have a special meaning to me.

Start with the American Cancer Society. I lost two grandparents to cancer and I think almost everyone either lost someone they know to cancer, or they know someone who has. Moving on to the Humane Society. My wife and I recently adopted two cats after our last cat (of nearly 20 years) passed away. We both are animal lovers. And finally, the Red Cross. For as long as I can remember, I've always said that I wanted my music to make a difference in people's lives. This is a concrete and tangible way for that to happen.

My goal, and I realize that this is a CRAZY HUGE one, is to raise $10,000 for EACH charity by the end of the year. Now here's the part where I admit my fear. I know that I can't do it. At least, not on my own. It's going to require a lot of work and lot of marketing and a lot of advertising and a lot of help. And if it fails and I fall short of the goal, I'll still be able to hold my head up high knowing that I at least tried.
